Mmm. Good Stuff.

Got carded for buying this today: Henry Weinhard's. I was too busy thinking about gulping down this dark-bodied brew with its good-sized head and natural taste to object to showing my license.

What is under age for root beer drinking anyway?

Wild Wild Northeastern San Diego

Ah. Sweet zoo pass. I finally went to the Wild Animal Park last weekend to see the wild animals. Boy oh boy! I got my fill. Here are some pictures of some of the most dangerous animals in the world...

Mommy Elephant and her baby - weighing a couple of tons she would do anything to protect her baby...even crush a bone or two:

Rhino by the water's edge, about to charge, no doubt:
Tiger giving me the eye through the fence & underbrush (AKA Eye of the Tiger - don't mess with it!):
King of the jungle, luckily too busy taking a nap to rip my face off:

And perhaps the most dangerous species, a Local. This is the back of his shirt. I wouldn't want to be left alone with him at dusk:Wha?

Yes I did.

I finally saw Barry Manilow in concert. It was awesome!
I can die happy now.

Woo Hoo Gail!

A few weeks ago my opposite twin, Gail, got married!I couldn't be happier for her! Congrats Gail!

(I know you are seeing the apparent twin-ness and you are wondering, "how on earth are you guys opposite?" I am sorry, but you would have to know us to understand.)

My Dam Vacation

A few weeks ago I finally went to see the Hoover Dam. I went on a dam tour and asked dam questions to the dam guide. It was a dam good time!
I was in two places at once! (State lines Nevada and Arizona!)

Does anyone remember that weird sphinx-like thing in The Never Ending Story? Well, the Hoover Dam has this "winged figure of the republic" as part of the monument of dedication on Nevada's side: I thought is was on the whack side of things.

Souvenirs such as this one made the whole experience that much better! Good times! Thanks Hoover and your dam!
